Kuyimita Camping

Would you rather go camping?
Kuyimá also features a camping area by the San Ignacio Lagoon Whale Sanctuary with tent-sites and parking for your camper vehicle (no water nor electricity hook ups). You can use your own camping gear or rent from us tent, sleeping bags, cotton sheets, cots and pillows. Your campsite fee includes the use of our comfortable and clean environment-friendly toilets and sun-heated freshwater showers, as well as a limited supply of drinkable fresh water for cooking and washing. Take a look at the costs of our services, including that of whalewatching trips.

Is there food available at the San Ignacio Lagoon?
Kuyimita has its own dining room service where meals are prepared and served under request at very reasonable prices. If you wish to prepare your own food you should bring your cooking equipment and groceries since there is a very limited food supply at the lagoon and the kitchen of Kuyimita is usually very busy for allowing guests prepare their food.

Should I make reservations for camping too?
Is highly advisable to make reservation for camping and whalewatching from Kuyimita, especially if you wish to visit the lagoon & whales on a February or March week- end. Whale watching is fairly regulated, so only a few boats are allowed on the Lagoon at the same time and weekends can get very busy. To do so, please just fill out the reservation form and send it as soon as possible. We also recommend you to check our availability.
