Kuyimita Camping
Kuyimá also features a camping
and car-camping area by the San Ignacio Lagoon Whale Sanctuary
(sorry, no water, electricity nor sewage
hook-ups for RVs). Check out our
calendar for availability.
We have comfortable tents set up for two with sleeping bags, cotton sheets, cots and pillows,
for rent, but you
can also bring your own. Campsite
fees include the use of comfortable and clean
environment-friendly toilets and sun-heated freshwater
showers, as well as drinkable water
for cooking and washing.
Our Kuyimita dinning Palapa offers
reasonably-priced
high-quality prepared meals for breakfast, lunch and
dinner, but you can also bring your own cooking
gear and use it at your campsite.
From Kuyimita, guided whale watching tours depart on
23–25-foot boats (pangas) for 4–10
passengers, sailing from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Tours are conducted by experienced drivers and knowledgeable
naturalists that will make your whalewatching experience
unforgettable. Should I make reservations
for camping too?
It is highly advisable,
especially if you wish to visit the lagoon and whales on a
weekend in February or March. Only a few boats are allowed on the Lagoon at
the same time and weekends can get very busy.
Book
or send an information
inquiry now.
