The expedition begins at El Agüajito II Ranch, in the Santa Marta area. Depending on the weather, the fitness of the travelers, and the available time, up to 4 level I and II sites can be visited, according to INAH.
Expeditions can be trekking, in which case one mule is required for every three visitors.
It is necessary to sign a liability release form and fill out a medical and special needs form.
